South Cowichan Physiotherapy and Sports Rehabilitation was established in 1998 when Vince Avery originally opened his clinic in the Shawnigan Lake Village. In 2004, he moved his clinic to its new location in Cobble Hill where it continued to thrive in the growing surrounding communities. Earlier in 2010, the clinic was relocated to the Valleyview Center at #59- 1400 Cowichan Bay Road. This move has doubled our space and allowed the clinic to expand to meet the needs of our clientele.

Our physiotherapists are university educated and trained. They all take personal pride in giving their clients an accurate diagnosis, and the best treatment possible for their individual condition. Education of the client is a prime goal for all of our staff, in order to give the client a better understanding of their condition, and the things they can do to best help themselves.

Our clinic is complimented with the expertise of Vince Avery (Registered Physiotherapist, Certified in Spinal Manipulation), Brigitte Bauer (Registered Physiotherapist and Certified with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute), Jocelyn Sarsfield(Registered Physiotherapist), our newest addition, Leif Cope (Registered Physiotherapist) and Dave Troughton (Registered Physiotherapist and owner of Cowichan Valley Orthotics).
