Who covers the cost of treatment?
What is the cost of Physiotherapy?
The cost of physiotherapy treatment is divided into 4 different levels of clientele. These are: Private, Premium Assisted (MSP assisted) , ICBC( motor vehicle accident) and WCB (work related) clientele.
For Private clientele, the initial visit fee is $60.00 for an assessment and treatment. The subsequent treatment visit is $50.00. Most Extended Health Plans will cover physiotherapy costs, either partially or fully. Please check with your provider for more detailed information on benefits available to you. We do not bill directly to Insurance companies, so the client will have to submit receipts for reimbursement.
B.C. residents on Premium Assistance medical will be covered for a maximum of 10 visits per calender year. These visits are a combination of physiotherapy, massage therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture. Our clinic has a $20.00 user fee per visit. After the MSP visits are used, a fee of $40.00 per visit will be applied for the remainder of the year.
ICBC clients must have approval from their adjustor, a written referral from their doctor and a claim number to establish an ICBC claim. There is a $25.00 user fee for ICBC claim clients. ICBC may reimburse you these costs if the accident wasn't your fault. If at any time during your treatments that ICBC denies your claim, the client will be responsible for full fees as outlined in the Private fee section.
WCB clients must have established a claim with the Worker's Compensation Board and been referred by their doctor (who will submit a referral to WCB) before attending for treatment. WCB approved claims are fully covered by WCB in the initial stages for a period of 8 weeks or 22 visits. If at any time during your treatment that WCB denies your claim, the client will be responsible for full fees as outlined in the Private fee section.
What is the cost of Acupuncture?
The initial visit is $60.00 and followup treatments are $50.00. Your visits range from 45 minutes to 1 hour. For Premium Assistance patients, there is a User Fee of $20.00 per visit and follow the same guidelines as listed in the Physiotherapy cost segment above.
We do not bill through ICBC or WCB, therefore the patients will have to seek reimbursement for private fees paid.
What is the cost of Orthotics?
The cost for orthotics is $400.00, of which $60.00 is the assessment fee. There is a $200.00 deposit required at the time of your appointment, and the remainder due upon receipt of your orthotics. For those clients who only wish to have an assessment done, there is a $50.00 fee.
There is a 30-day trial and return policy on all orthotics. The 30 days begins from the date of call that your orthotics are ready for pick up. For those needing to return their orthotics, only $340 of your full fee will be returned; the Initial Assessment fee of $60.00 will not be returned. Any adjustments to orthotics are done at no cost to the client. There is a small fee for refurbishing any orthotics; this will be decided by Dave Troughton at time of inspection.
